Fire Investigator


Building Technology - Naperville, IL

Candidate will be expected to have experience performing fire investigation of structural and vehicle fires; including site inspections, witness interviews, documentation, client communication and report writing.  A successful candidate must practice the scientific method in the conduct of his/her investigations, and demonstrate familiarity with NFPA 921.  Candidate will be expected to participate in in-house fire research projects including the preparation and presentation of scientific papers.


Qualifications

Candidate must be a current Certified Fire Investigator ((AAI-CFI). A minimum of 5 years fire investigation experience is preferred.  A background in science is desirable.  Must be able to manage projects, participate in multi-disciplinary teams, perform hands-on technical investigations and activities, and communicate with clients through verbal and written reports. Position will require participation in strenuous activities and environments
