Codes, Standards & Regulations
Many Packer engineers maintain a working knowledge of numerous Standards, Codes, and Regulations (e.g., ANSI, ASME, ASTM, Military, NFPA, SAE, UL, IRC and IBC).
They also understand the requirements of BOCA, SBCCI, and UBC model building codes and relevant industry standards. Plus, several staff members are authorized OSHA trainers for both general industry and construction.
When working on a project, their knowledge is used to identify which codes apply, and to locate the appropriate codes. Finally, the engineers interpret the codes to determine if they were followed before, during, and after an incident or accident.
