Daniel J. Roig Ph.D., S.E., P.E.
Staff Consultant Biomechanical & Structural EngineeringDr. Roig has more than 38 years of professional experience in structural engineering, and has received a doctorate in biomechanics following ten years of research.
His expertise includes analysis and design of warehouse, agricultural, industrial, commercial and residential buildings; power plant chimneys including ductwork, foundations and specialty components; investigation of building damage relating to water, fire, environmental, and biological exposure, and investigation of accidents regarding biomechanics.
He developed his own structural analysis software, utilized finite element analysis for orthopedic research and has generated computer programs for structural applications.
Dr. Roig is an educator in wood engineering for the Illinois structural engineering exam, Amerispec Inspection Services, and the Wood Truss Council of America. He founded and managed several consulting structural engineering firms.
Before joining Packer Engineering, Dr. Roig was a partner at KRW Consulting Group in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
Dr. Roig is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Hawaii. He is a licensed Structural Engineer in the states of Illinois and Hawaii.
