Robert Plichta, AIA, CPP

Director

Robert Plichta is a registered architect in Illinois and Wisconsin. He has more than 27 years of experience in commercial, residential, mixed use, hospitality, senior living, mid-rise and institutional projects. He possesses extensive knowledge of national building codes, handicap accessibility, industry standards, construction practices and standard of care. Mr. Plichta is an author and facilitator of numerous courses on Project Management, Construction Contract Administration, technical publications and Best Practices.  He has trained and mentored professionals throughout the country. Mr. Plichta joined Packer Engineering’s Construction Technology Group in 2009.

Prior to joining Packer Engineering, Mr. Plichta’s involvement in firms have included peer reviews, litigation support, field investigation, crisis management, technical detailing of building envelopes, fire separations, water penetrations, system failures and accessibility compliance. He has designed and implemented Quality Control and Risk Management initiatives while employed at BSB Design.

Mr. Plichta has also spent five years as a POC firefighter/EMT for the Libertyville Fire Department and as an Adjunct Educator at the College of Lake County.
