Thomas G. Walega
Senior Technician IIMr. Walega specializes in automotive, medium to heavy-duty truck, construction and agricultural machinery, and mining equipment inspection, examination and repair. He is extensively involved in the preparation of vehicles for conducting testing at both in-house and vendor facilities. His knowledge of and practical experience with the function of a wide variety of machinery and equipment makes him a principal repair mechanic within Packer Engineering.
Mr. Walega has performed on-site analyses of automobile and truck accidents and has assisted at investigations of fires and explosions in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. He has participated in many destructive and nondestructive tests and field investigations, particularly involving vehicular accidents. He is a skilled photographer, which contributes to the accuracy of engineering analysis and reconstruction of events he performs. He is experienced in the fabrication of fixtures and displays for courtroom use.
Mr. Walega joined Packer Engineering in 2002. He is a certified welder and is a licensed test driver for buses and large trucks. He also has extensive and diverse experience in fabrication, machining, agricultural machinery, field investigations, site documentation, video and lab testing. He has assisted engineers with laboratory and field investigations and testing. In addition, he has extensive experience in vehicle preparation for structural assessment within laboratory facilities or in-field, on-site performance studies.
